Bella Brush Tips & Tricks
Tips for a smoother finish with chalk paint
-
Clean your surface
Start with a clean, dust-free surface.
Use a mild detergent or degreaser if needed.
-
Use the right tools
Use a high-quality synthetic brush or foam roller to help minimize brush strokes.
-
Thin the paint slightly
Add a bit of Scumble Magic to the paint.
Stir well.
The paint should be smooth and flow easy.
-
Apply thin, even coats
Apply the first coat in thin, even layers.
Let it dry completely before applying the next coat.
-
Sand between coats
Lightly sand with fine-grit paper (320- 400) after each coat.
This helps achieve a super smooth finish.
-
Apply second coat
Apply a second this coat of paint, following the same method as the first coat.
-
Seal for protection
Once the final coat is dry, apply a clear topcoat to protect your painted surface and enhance its durability.
